This week we are on the hunt for yellow.
As spring creeps towards summer and buds turn into leaves, I am happy to see the once bleak landscape give way to colour. Moods are brighter and life lighter when we can eat our dinner under a canopy of leaves with earth beneath our finger nails.
Last week, I surprised even myself when I looked around my world and made note of turquoise in the landscape around me. I saw it on store shelves, in clothing, on the streets, and even in blogs who had no idea of our little treasure hunt! It proved to be a powerful exercise with a great response. Be sure to check out the submissions to last week's"it begins with a colour" challenge at flickr. Also lovingly blogged at: the gennysent page, minute musings, conveniently simplistic, jo11931, and of grateful praise if I missed anyone, please let me know in the comments and I can add a link.

P.S. Dad and step mom delivered our rich, organic earth late this afternoon! We have some work ahead of us without a rototiller, but it is still early in this Ontario climate to do any serious planting quite yet, but stay tuned for updates.
how fun to see other turquoise delights. i too blogged @ ofgratefulpraise.blogspot.com and had a blast doing so! can't wait to find yellow bits of beauty in my everyday life. once again, thanks for the adventure.

I know what you mean about noticing turquoise everywhere. When I first read you're post I wasn't going to participate because I couldn't think of a thing in my home that was turquoise. But JoAnn, from jo11931, had put together a great collage with just a few pictures, so I decided late Sun night (or maybe it was early Mon morning) to grab my camera and see what jumped out at me in the rooms I had access to at that time of night.
I can't wait to get started on this week's color. I love yellow. Yellow is one of those colors that makes me instantly feel better if I'm down. And it's the color of dandylions... and I love dandylions.

Oh, and my daughter was intrigued with your colour concept. I think I'll ask her later if she wants to do this, too. She was wondering earlier what this week's color would be.

I just found some turquoise in a drawer last night. A necklace that I never wear that came from Arizona.
I love yellow!

Hi
just popped over from Soulemama and really like what I see here - beautiful images and thoughtful, truthful words. And a gorgeous baby girl in stripy tights in one image - it made my ovaries ache with thoughts of days gone by!

Have you seen the beautiful turquoise patent leather ballet flats that by Steve Madden?
I had a couple of posts about my red p.l shoes today and thought I'd go on a search for a similar shoe in other colors I love...turquoise and YELLOW!
Yellow is my most *favourite* color!
